SCRIPTURE: Ro. 15:5-7 (AMP) - "5 Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify and praise and honor the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  7 Therefore, [continue to] accept and welcome one another, just as Christ has accepted and welcomed us to the glory of [our great] God."

One, in the same mind, united, so that we may glorify and praise and honor God, our Father?  What would the church look like if this were the case?  God desires for His children to be united and for us to live at peace with EVERYONE, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Prayerfully read over this passage a couple of times to find actions that Christ followers are to take. Choose two you believe God wants you to practice first. Then, meditate on why bearing with people, pleasing others as well as ourselves, practicing patience, being like-minded, and glorifying God are all choices.  Consider those examples and ask Jesus to come show you how to do them.  Secondly, consider what you have in common with other people and how to build closeness with them.
PRAYER FOCUS: From The Voice translation - "I pray that our God, who calls you and gives you perseverance and encouragement, will join all of you together to share one mind according to Jesus the Anointed. In this unity, you will share one voice as you glorify the one True God, the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, our Liberating King, so that we accept one another in the same way the Anointed has accepted us giving God the praise He is due.
